朱古力瘤又稱「卵巢內膜異位囊腫」，也算是子宮內膜異位的一種，簡單說就是子宮內膜跑到了卵巢。因為子宮內膜的碎片隨經血逆流經輸卵管進入盆腔，附著在卵巢表面或盆腔其他部位，形成「異位囊腫」，這種異位的子宮內膜仍受卵巢性荷爾蒙的週期性影響，也會發生「月經」樣出血，經血無法排出體外，儲留在卵巢內。久了以後，儲留於卵巢內的經血越積越多，使卵巢增大，形成陳舊性積血的囊包，裡面其實是長期累的陳舊血，外觀呈巧克力糊狀，故又稱為「朱古力瘤」。
答：中醫認為朱古力瘤屬於中醫「癥瘕」、「月經不調」、「經痛」的範疇，病因是由於壓力、情志不暢、喜愛食生冷，氣血運行不暢，血不行則成瘀，瘀血積聚於子宮，內因包括肝腎虧虛，脾胃虛弱導致痰濁內生。
「天灸」是傳統又安全的療法，使用歷史悠久，適合男女老幼。「三伏」天灸是在夏天陽氣最旺的特定日子貼藥，「三九」天灸則是在冬天陰氣最盛的特定日子敷貼中藥，是提升人體陽氣的最佳時機。
